Toward Astra's 70th Anniversary: Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia

JAKARTA: For nearly seven decades, Astra has advanced alongside Indonesia through innovation, collaboration, and ongoing contributions to the community. This progress has involved the government, employees, partners, customers, communities, and stakeholders across the country who have shaped Astra's journey.

This shared journey forms the foundation of Astra's contributions as it approaches its 70th anniversary on February 20, 2027. To mark this milestone, Astra introduced its 70th anniversary logo with the theme "Berkarya dan Tumbuh Bersama Indonesia" (Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia) at the Alun-Alun Astra event held at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (15/8). This event launched a series of celebrations leading up to Astra's 70th anniversary.

Astra Director Djap Tet Fa and Executive In-Charge Boy Gemino Kalauserang launched the 70th anniversary logo, joined by Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto, Astra Chief of Human Capital Development Matilda Ester Rotinsulu, Astra Chief of Corporate Finance & Accounting Endro Wahyono, and Astra Chief of Corporate Information System & Technology Anastasia Krisnawati.

"Astra embraces a philosophy of continuous growth and flourishing, like a great shady tree that shelters and benefits many. Reflecting this, the Astra 70th anniversary logo features a tree with strong roots, symbolizing growth over time and broad benefits for the community," said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.

Aligned with Indonesia's 81st Independence Day theme, "Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur" (A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia), Astra supports the nation's ideals and goals. As Astra approaches its 70th anniversary, the company remains committed to delivering tangible benefits that promote a self-reliant, equitable, and prosperous Indonesia.

The series of celebrations leading to Astra's 70th anniversary adopts the theme "Berkarya dan Tumbuh Bersama Indonesia" (Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia), highlighting Astra's ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and meaningful contributions. This theme unites the celebrations, emphasizing that turning 70 is both a time to honor past achievements and a call to continue growing with Indonesia.

The Alun-Alun Astra event invited the public to celebrate Astra's journey and explore the achievements of the nation's people. Visitors participated in interactive booths, creative workshops, and a Desa Sejahtera Astra showcase, fostering community engagement and highlighting Astra's innovations as it nears 70 years with Indonesia.

The event also featured the Semesta Berpesta (A Universe in Celebration) entertainment stage from August 15 to 16, 2026, with performances by Indonesian musicians such as Raisa, Tulus, King Nassar, Rizky Febian, Mahalini, RAN, JKT 48, The Adams, and others.

The spirit of mutual care at Alun-Alun Astra reflects Astra's commitment to growing with the community and delivering broader benefits. Over nearly seven decades, Astra has positively impacted more than 16 million people, including 6.9 million workers and their families, and 3 million beneficiaries of the Desa Sejahtera Astra program, which reaches 1,533 villages in 35 provinces.

Nurani Astra for Communities Affected by the Earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)

To support communities in NTT affected by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake on Saturday morning (15/8), Alun-Alun Astra donated a portion of ticket sales through Nurani Astra to assist those impacted by the disaster.

This commitment aligns with Astra's aspiration of Prosper with the Nation and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.
