Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara: West Nusa Tenggara has significant potential to develop a generation of young people who can deliver practical solutions for their communities. Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reports that approximately 1.81 million residents are within the youth age range, providing a strong demographic base for community-driven innovation. This is further supported by the province's 13.64% economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year.

Recognizing this potential, PT Astra International Tbk ("Astra") hosted an Inspirational Talk for the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 in Mataram, inviting local youth to witness impactful community initiatives. Astra also encouraged the public to identify and nominate young individuals who have made positive contributions in health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, or technology.

Held today (7/7) with the theme "Connected in Action," the Inspirational Talk provided a platform for young people, community leaders, local government officials, and changemakers to share experiences in building impactful initiatives. Attendees included West Nusa Tenggara Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti Putri, represented by West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Secretary Abul Chair, Ak., as well as the jury of the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026: Founder of Institut Bisnis dan Ekonomi Kerakyatan Ir. Tri Mumpuni, President Director of PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk Arif Zulkifli, Arts Advocate and Founder of Yayasan Dian Sastrowardoyo, Dian Sastrowardoyo, Astra Head of Corporate Communications Windy Riswantyo, and 2023 SATU Indonesia Awards Recipient in Technology and Ecobiz Facilitator for Desa Sejahtera Astra Sasak Ende Lombok Reza Permadi.

"Through the SATU Indonesia Awards, Astra aims to inspire West Nusa Tenggara's youth to develop solutions that make a meaningful difference in their communities. This year, the SATU Indonesia Awards strengthens its collaboration with Desa Sejahtera Astra to help awardee initiatives expand and reach more people. We hope every innovation by young people becomes a lasting driver of change, not just a temporary movement," said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.

During the Inspirational Talk for the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 in Mataram, speakers emphasized the potential of young people as agents of change and the importance of collaboration in expanding the impact of their initiatives.

West Nusa Tenggara has produced several national SATU Indonesia Awards recipients, including Marwan Hakim in Education in 2013, Maharani in Environment in 2014, and Yuyun Ahdiyanti in Entrepreneurship in 2024. Reza Permadi, the 2023 SATU Indonesia Awards Recipient in Technology, now serves as a facilitator for Desa Sejahtera Astra in Lombok and East Sumba, demonstrating how the award can generate broader community impact.

The SATU Indonesia Awards are Astra's annual recognition for young people who contribute positively to their communities and the environment in support of sustainable living, across Health, Education, Environment, Entrepreneurship, and Technology. This year, Astra is further integrating the Awards with the Desa Sejahtera Astra ecosystem to expand the reach of awardee initiatives.

Registration for the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 is open from April 1 to August 1, 2026, via Astra's official website, Astra.co.id. National awardees receive coaching funds of IDR 65 million and can participate in Astra's mentoring and development programs to expand their initiatives. Awardees may also grow their programs through integration with the Desa Sejahtera Astra ecosystem.

Astra's commitment to supporting young changemakers reflects its aspiration to Prosper with the Nation and its support for Indonesia's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
