JAKARTA: On Friday, June 20, Astra, together with its group companies, received recognition at the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025 event. This marks the eighth time Astra has earned this award, which recognizes companies across Asia that demonstrate excellence in human resource practices, high employee engagement, and exemplary workplace culture.
At this year's event, Astra secured three accolades: the main award—HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025, as well as the HR Asia Sustainable Workplace Award 2025 and the HR Asia Tech Empowerment Award 2025. Several Astra Group companies also received honors, including Toyota Astra Motor, FIFGROUP, Astra Credit Companies, Surya Artha Nusantara Finance, United Tractors, Pamapersada Nusantara, Kalimantan Prima Persada, and Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia.
The awards are the result of a selection process involving feedback from 2.5 million respondents across 20,000 companies in Asia—25% of which are listed among the Fortune Global 500.
“Astra prioritizes cultivating high-quality human resources and embedding a sustainability mindset throughout all business activities. Through the Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations, we have launched flagship initiative Astra for Everyone, focusing on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that is safe, comfortable, and promotes a healthy work-life balance—while nurturing competent talent in alignment with our philosophy, Catur Dharma,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development Aloysius Budi Santoso.
The Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations guide the group’s transition journey, integrating sustainability into the Astra Triple-P Strategy: the Portfolio Roadmap, People Roadmap, and Public Contribution Roadmap.
Through the People Roadmap, Astra implements Mandatory Key Actions (MKA) and upholds its commitment to “People First, Safety by All for All”, which focuses on enhancing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management systems and fostering a safety culture across all business lines.
Talent development is also a core priority in Astra’s sustainability strategy. The company ensures that business growth aligns with the development of its human capital. The Astra Sustainability Academy serves as a platform for upskilling employees, equipping them with comprehensive knowledge of ESG principles and relevant technical competencies to support the transition toward a more sustainable business.
Astra’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in various initiatives that promote equal opportunity and a supportive work environment. Notably, the Astra Women Leaders Development Program aims to advance women’s leadership, strengthen their roles in strategic decision-making, and foster an inclusive, innovative, and adaptive organization and culture.
Astra’s commitment to fostering sustainability across its group companies, for today and the future of Indonesia, aligns with the company’s mission to prosper with the nation while supporting Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
