The Pama Daya Taka Business Development Institute conducted halal certification training for 33 culinary MSMEs on March 7, 2024. The training was held both online via Zoom and in person at the Sungai Terik Village Hall, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.
Halal certification instructor from the Strategic Services Unit of Mulawarman University, Samarinda, Sulistyowati, stated that the training aims to ensure that the products of MSMEs fostered by PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) Site Kideco Jaya Agung (KIDE) are halal certified.
"The inclusion of the halal logo can also increase revenue because buyers who were initially hesitant will see that the product is guaranteed to be halal. Consumer trust and product value will also increase," added Sulistyowati.
Sulistyowati also explained that the halal product process includes the provision and processing of ingredients, as well as storage, packaging, distribution, sales, and presentation of products. Furthermore, she mentioned that MSMEs can now apply for halal certification for free.
"All products on the market in 2025 are required to have a halal certificate, so the government facilitates MSMEs to obtain it for free. The process can be done independently online through the SiHalal website," she explained.
