Bagikan:
In a dynamic professional landscape, an organisation's ability to transform is fundamental to its long-term sustainability. One of the most important enablers of this transformation is the Change Management Program.
This program helps organisations manage the process of change with clear direction, from adjusting business strategies to shaping a more adaptive workplace culture.
Beyond that, the program also plays a key role in building inclusive workplaces, where every individual feels valued and has equal opportunity to grow.
So, what exactly are the roles and benefits of a Change Management Program in creating that kind of inclusive workplace? Read on for the full breakdown.

A Change Management Program is a strategy that helps organisations manage change, particularly change related to how employees work and interact with one another.
Through this program, organisations work to ease the transition from established workplace cultures to new, more inclusive ones.
In practice, this involves a range of structured steps, from awareness sessions designed to dismantle stigma, to inclusive communication training and ongoing mentoring.
Implementing a Change Management Program in workplace culture can deliver a range of meaningful benefits. Below are some of the most notable.
Cultural shifts in the workplace often spark resistance, simply because employees are not yet used to the new way of doing things. A Change Management Program helps reduce this friction by providing clear context for the purpose behind the change, helping employees accept and adapt more quickly.
The program also helps build more open communication in the workplace. Both employees and management are encouraged to engage in dialogue, giving everyone the opportunity to share their views or raise concerns about the changes underway.
The program helps embed the values of inclusivity into everyday work activities. Every employee is encouraged to treat one another with respect and is given equal opportunity in the workplace, regardless of background, condition, or any other personal differences.
A workplace built on mutual respect naturally fosters stronger team collaboration. Employees feel more comfortable sharing ideas, allowing teams to work together and develop solutions more effectively.
A supportive working environment naturally boosts employee motivation. When the workplace feels comfortable and free from unnecessary conflict, employees can focus more effectively on their work, supporting both productivity and the company's ability to meet its goals.
One concrete example of this Change Management Program in action is the "Ability Beyond Disability" initiative led by PT Astra Honda Motor.
This program is specifically designed to break down workplace communication barriers and stigma, with a particular focus on fostering an inclusive environment for persons with disabilities, especially those in the deaf community.
Through this initiative, the company has taken a comprehensive approach to ensure that diversity is not merely a matter of physical presence, but of meaningful integration.
The strategic milestones achieved through 2024 include the following initiatives.
This Change Management Program has reached approximately 24,700 employees across all levels of the organisation. The aim is to align employee understanding around the importance of building a workplace that is genuinely accessible to people with disabilities, throughout the entire company.
A total of 653 employees have completed awareness sessions and training on how to interact with and support colleagues with disabilities.
This training covers effective communication techniques and the etiquette of interacting with members of the deaf community, making the workplace more inclusive and free from communication barriers.
As a result of this change management initiative, 18 employees with disabilities have joined and become part of PT Astra Honda Motor's operational teams.
This demonstrates that with the right support and an open work environment, persons with disabilities can perform their roles successfully and make meaningful contributions to the company.
In line with the Triple-P Roadmap Strategy, gender diversity has also become a central focus of the inclusivity strategy. This is reflected in the appointment of two female Commissioners and one female Director across the Astra Group throughout 2024.
In addition, to support the regeneration of female leaders, the Astra Women Leaders Development Program has been put in place. The program prepares female employees to step into leadership positions through several stages, as outlined below.
This program delivers training designed to strengthen women's leadership capabilities in the workplace, including decision-making, team management, and building influence within the organisation.
A total of 15 participants from 11 companies across the Astra Group completed this training. The program also delivered strong results, with a learning improvement score of 93%.
The program also delivered 23 mentoring sessions, providing direct guidance to participants. In these sessions, participants engage in dialogue with Astra Women Executives through both individual and group mentoring.
A total of 18 mentors from 18 companies guided 15 participants from 11 companies across the Astra Group, sharing their experience on leadership and career development.
The program also features a Networking Session, known as AWESOME. This session is an opportunity for participants and mentors to broaden their networks and exchange experiences with peers from across the Astra Group.
It also serves as a space to revisit material that has been covered, and to share best practices among participants.

That, in essence, is the comprehensive picture of the critical role a Change Management Program plays in building an equitable and supportive working ecosystem.
The success of initiatives like "Ability Beyond Disability" and the empowerment of female leaders demonstrates that cultural change does not happen overnight; it takes thoughtful planning that touches every layer of the workforce.
Building on these strategic steps, the Phase I implementation evaluation in 2024 showed that a thoughtful Change Management Program is capable of creating a far more harmonious and productive working environment.
