The 2022 B20 (Business 20) Summit will take place on 13-14 November 2022 in Bali Indonesia. The event organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) is an outreach group of the G20, representing 6.5 million international business communities which contribute 80 percent of world GDP. B20 is a global business community dialogue forum within the G20 which is under the Sherpa Track or the Sherpa track. Since its formation in 2010, B20 has become a dialogue forum that holds meetings, dialogues, and summarizes various recommendations in the form of policy recommendations. Later, all of these recommendations will be brought to a bigger event, namely the G20.

There were 96 speakers from 30 countries involved in the B20 Summit. Then there were also CEOs of global companies, business and organizational leaders, more than 1,600 delegates from G20 countries, and 8,000 participants from the global business community.
Even several well-known business figures were also present, such as Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla Inc), Daniel Zhang (Chairman of Alibaba Group), Alan Jope (CEO of Unilever), Tony Blair (former British Prime Minister), Mari Elka Pangestu (Managing Director of the World Bank ), and Klaus Schwab (Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum).
Arsjad Rasjid, Host of B20 and Chairman of KADIN Indonesia, told SWA, that there are 3 big themes that are carried out in B20 Indonesia, namely:
1. Continuing collaborative recovery and growth by facilitating cross-border cooperation to recover stronger together.
2. Promote an innovative global economy by leveraging the potential for rapid technological progress and creativity.
3. Forging an inclusive and sustainable future through empowering women and MSMEs and preserving a livable earth.
The international business community in the B20 forum succeeded in formulating, recommending and advocating for policies related to socio-economic recovery into 25 policy recommendations and 68 policy actions. Apart from that, the B20 Indonesia forum has also succeeded in establishing a legacy program. Some of them:
1. The legacy program of the Carbon Center of Excellence as a knowledge sharing hub & practice sharing center to develop voluntary carbon markets as an alternative source of financing.
2. B20 Wiki as a support platform for MSMEs through 3 areas: Wiki Learn, Wiki Do and Wiki Scale.
3. One Global Women Empowerment (OGWE) which helps women entrepreneurship includes empowering women entrepreneurs through increasing digital literacy, capital and security in the workplace.
4. Global One Shot Campaign which aims to provide relevant infrastructure for mitigating future health crises through global business engagement in providing access to vaccines, clinical research.
At the same time, the B20 Summit Indonesia also has a main agenda and is part of a sustainable legacy program, as explained by Bernardino M Vega, Chair of the B20 Indonesia Steering Committee (SC) and WKU KADIN Indonesia in the field of International Relations, to Republika. Some of the main agendas include the Investment Forum, Net Zero Summit MoU Signings, B2B Business Matchmaking which is divided into 6 investment sector clusters, namely:
1. Digitalization and Startup.
2. Financial and Insurance.
3. Infrastructure and Construction.
4. Transportation and Logistics.
5. Sustainable Business Ecosystem: Energy Transition, Manufacturing, Textile & Fashion, Regenerative Forest Business, Circular Economy, Micro-Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); Agriculture; Blue Economy; Mining Industry; Heavy Industry; Furniture and Household; Tourism and Hospitality.
6. Healthcare.
PT Astra International Tbk together with a number of its subsidiaries, namely PT United Tractors Tbk, PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, and PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, took a role and collaborated with the B20 Future of Work & Education Task Force (FOWE TF) to support vocational education and apprenticeship programs in industry and the business world with the link & match concept.
There are 3 policies that are the top priority in this collaboration, namely job creation, quality education for the future and diversity, and finally inclusion.
Hamdani Dzulkarnaen Salim, in Global Review Magazine, said that this collaboration aims to better collaborate between the business world and the world of education. The hope is that it can create links and matches, as well as being a trigger for all parties to do the same thing.
Astra's commitment has also been realized with the development of SMK BISA Link & Match 8+i. The Link & Match 8+i program includes:
1. Alignment of Curriculum.
2. Project Based Learning.
3. Internship Students/PKL.
4. Teacher Apprentice.
5. Competency Certification.
6. Upskilling-Reskilling Teachers.
7. Industry Guest Teacher.
8. Development of Teaching Factory.
9. Uptake Commitments.
10. Development of Industry-Based School Management.
All programs and policy recommendations in the B20 Summit are important results/outputs in the implementation of Indonesia's B20-G20. With the hope, the global economy can recover faster, more resilient, inclusive and sustainable.
