The Spirit of Moving Forward Together in Inspira Nation of the 12th SATU Indonesia Awards

JAKARTA: A special blue cart located in a housing estate in Baciro, Special Region of Yogyakarta, was moved into a modest room. The aroma of chicken noodles coming from the blue cart distracted Revo Suladasha and his team from the photoshoot for the chicken noodle, which will be promoted on Yuk Tukoni online store.

The chicken noodle cart is one of the culinary MSMEs promoted on Yuk Tukoni by Revo. Thanks to his effort in promoting culinary MSMEs affected by the pandemic, he received an award at the Semangat Astra Terpadu Untuk (SATU) Indonesia Awards 2020 in the special category of selfless hero in the pandemic.

Today (3/4), Revo was back to attend Inspira Nation of the 12th SATU Indonesia Awards 2021 virtual socialization which discussed the spirit of moving forward together in advancing the nation.

Actress Chelsea Islan and Astra’s Head of Corporate Communications, one of the judges for the 12th SATU Indonesia Awards 2021, also attended the event with Daniel Mananta as the host.

“We hope SATU Indonesia Awards can motivate the younger generation, who are the catalyst and an important social capital of the nation’s development,” said Astra’s Chief of Corporate Affairs, Riza Deliansyah.

During the event, Chelsea encouraged young people as the nation’s agents of change to contribute to their communities, such as by organizing learning activities and fundraising for people affected by the pandemic.

Engaging Culinary MSMEs

Revo Suladasha, a recipient of SATU Indonesia Awards from the special category, and Eri Kuncoro established the Yuk Tukoni online store to support culinary MSMEs in Yogyakarta affected by the pandemic, especially when the lockdown was imposed.

Through Yuk Tukoni, Revo and Eri are able to support 150 culinary MSMEs in Yogyakarta, generating 500-700 orders booked on @YukTukoni Instagram account.

“After I received an award from Astra, Yuk Tukoni became more popular. It is a medium not only for publication purposes but also for customers located outside our reaches—such as Jakarta, Greater Jakarta Area, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Malang, and Bali—to order products registered in our network,” said Revo.

He realizes that culinary MSMEs must adapt to the business digitalization process, among others. Through Yuk Tukoni, Revo is able to revive legendary culinary products that almost disappeared because of the pandemic, such as Pak Amin chicken noodle, which has been repackaged.

Just like the previous years, SATU Indonesia Awards is looking for Indonesia’s youth who work tirelessly to benefit their communities. Five aspiring young people and one group will receive awards for their contributions in Health, Education, Environment, Entrepreneurship, and Technology. Astra will also continue to give a special award to appreciate the selfless hero in the pandemic.

The 12th SATU Indonesia Awards 2021, in collaboration with Tempo, Antara, Kumparan, IDN Times, and Young On Top, wish to attract 10,000 applicants and expect 80% of applicants to pass the initial administrative screening. Currently, 385 people have registered for the general category and 20 people for the special category, making up a total of 405 applicants.

Each award recipient at the national level and the special category will receive Rp60 million in development grants and mentoring.

To register and find out more information about the awards, go to www.satu-indonesia.com. Registration is open until 2 August 2021.

The spirit of Revo Suladasha and other young people fighting against the pandemic to help their communities is in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation.
