Have You Signed Up to Astranauts? The Digital Innovation Competition for Students and Start-Ups Opens Now to July 8, 2022

JAKARTA: Astranauts was initiated by Astra for students and startups to support the development of digital and technological innovations in Indonesia. The theme of the Competition is “Inspire. Innovate. Collaborate” and is open for registration until July 8, 2022.

Anyone with interests in digital and technological innovations can apply for Astranauts that offer five themes to choose from - Future of Mobility, Future of Finance, Industry 4.0, Sustainability, and Emerging Technology.

“Innovation is something that is highly nurtured and appreciated at Astra. It manifests the Company’s philosophy, Catur Dharma,” said Astra Chief of Group Digital Strategy Paul Soegianto.

The goals of Astranauts are to produce innovative solutions to business challenges and create a close collaboration space for students, startups, and Astra. Moreover, this program also aims to strengthen Astra’s startup ecosystem and digital and technology initiatives.

“Astra hopes that as a room for innovations, Astranauts can generate ideas to normalize changes, particularly digital transformation, in people’s lives and bring positive impacts to Indonesia,” he added.

Astranauts Registration

Undergraduate and postgraduate students with ideas, and startups – domestic or overseas having at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), can register as Astranauts participants.

Selected participants will advance to the preliminary round stage. Participants who pass the preliminary round will sit in an exclusive two-week mentorship session with experts from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), McKinsey & Company, Accenture, Dalberg, A.T. Kearney, Ernst & Young, Google, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, GK-Plug and Play, and TopKarir.

Finally, the finalists will present their products on Demo Day in front of the jury and experts. There will also be Astranauts Week, a series of webinars, workshops, digital showcases, and career fairs open for participants and the general public.

Winners of Astranauts will receive cash prizes worth a total of hundreds of millions of rupiahs. Participants will also have the opportunity to collaborate and become part of Astra’s startup community, as well as the opportunity to work with Astra.

The entire series of Astranauts made to encourage innovations is in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation and support Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals.
