Risna Hasanuddin: Wish More Papua Children are Called to Serve the Hometown
Dedicating herself to Papua, Risna Hasanuddin is not the native of the island. This woman born in 1988 originally comes from Maluku. She decided to come to Kobrey Kampong, Manokwari, due to her empathy seeing the lives of Papua children, especially the women of Arfak. She is determined to help children and women of Arfak so they will not become the lost generation. She does everything voluntarily and sincerely.
In September 2014, Risna established a learning house called Rumah Cerdas Perempuan Arfak Papua Barat in Kobrey Kampong with a purpose to educate Arfak women. Currently, besides educating people with literacy education namely reading, writing, counting and giving SME training, Risna is also initiating Early Children Education, opening a library, providing a waste bank as well as starting edu-tourism.

Ichsan Rusydi: Collaborate to Develop People
The lecturer of Faculty of Marine and Fishery Studies of Syah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, is triggered to help people of Tibang Kampong, Banda Aceh, in developing oyster cultivation technology by utilizing used tires. From the finding of technology implementation namely Rumoh Tiram (Oyster Apartment), Ichsan and his 10 students have successfully encouraged farmers in harvesting oysters as well as producing a large number and size of oysters; so that it elevates the economy value generated by oyster farmers.
After joining SIA, Ichsan admitted his program gets more attention from the government. “Oyster commodity is one of the marginalized fisheries sectors. At first, we received less attention from the government, with the current research result, now the government started to give more attention to the community. However, what is more strengthening is that SIA makes us more enthusiastic and aware that we are not alone in empowering the community,” he said.
