Celebrating Health Day, Astra Presents Astra Green Village Festival & SATU Indonesia Run

DENPASAR, BALI: In celebrating the commemoration of National Health Day on November 12, 2018, PT Astra International Tbk today (25/11) presents events in two big cities in Indonesia simultaneously, they are the Astra Green Village Festival (Kampung Berseri Astra/KBA) on Health in Denpasar on November 25-26, 2018, and SATU Indonesia Run in BSD City, Tangerang on November 25, 2018.

The KBA Festival is attended by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Nila F. Moeloek, Chief of Corporate Communications, Social Responsibility & Security PT Astra International Tbk Pongki Pamungkas, as well as Muspida and Muspika Denpasar. In the occasion, Minister Nila also gives direction in regards to the Healthy Lifestyle Movement (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat/Germas) that is also promoted by Astra as part of the KBA Festival.

The KBA Festival on Health is opened by Head of Health Office of Bali Province dr. I Ketut Suarjaya together with Head of Environment & Social Responsibility of PT Astra International Tbk Riza Deliansyah and Chairman of Astra Group Area Coordinator of Bali Haris Prasetya and witnessed by hundreds of participants. Denpasar is the fifth city where KBA Festival is held and also the last city in this year after Bogor, Kupang, Banjarmasin, and Semarang.

The KBA Festival on Health is divided into 3 segments, one of them is Germas 1 which is the Healthy Walk Astra Parade followed by 150 participants who are the citizens and employees of Astra Group in Bali, with the route starts from ACC Office Renon branch and finishes at LapanganBajra Sandi Renon. There is also zumba party followed by 200 participants. Besides that, there is a traditional game competition called ‘deduplak’, bakiak run, and block run and it is closed by the ‘pencak silat’ demo.

Germas 2 focuses on health check, blood donation, and free medication collaborating with the Medical Faculty of University of Udayana, while Germas 3 covers activities of Banana Eating Act on car free day and donation of 1,000 pax of healthy food from healthy food trucks.

In her speech, Minister Nila emphasizes the commitment in improving health through KBA. “I appreciate Astra’s real action in helping Indonesian people to be healthy, because when we are healthy, we become productive. The productive people can create more productive and healthier villages in Indonesia. The program of KBA can a role model for other villages in Indonesia,” said the Minister.

On November 26, 2018, the KBA Festival on Health presents Astra for Healthy Indonesia Talkshow joined by various speakers who are experts in their fields, such as Head of BNN Komjen Pol. Heru Winarko, Chairman of YKPI Linda Agum Gumelar, Andy F. Noya, and many more.

“Health is one of the sustainable social contribution pillars of Astra. The development of health pillar in KBA is expected to give a positive contribution to the village society. It is in line with Astra’s aspiration to prosper with the nation,” said Pongki Pamungkas.

Kampung Berseri Astra is a form of Astra’s sustainable social contribution for the society with the concept of integrated development of the 4 pillars.

In line with the government’s direction in creating prosperous, independent, and developed village, Astra Group has currently 77 Astra Green Villages in 34 provinces all over Indonesia that are being developed into 300 Astra Prosperous Villages in 100 regencies in Indonesia.

2,000 Runners & 35 Communities Enliven SATU Indonesia Run

On the same day as the KBA Festival on Healthy in Bali, runners community of Astra Group, which is Astra Runners, holds SATU Indonesia Run at Astra Biz Center BSD City, Tangerang, followed by 2,000 runners. The run competition is celebrating the 5thanniversary of Astra Runners Community.

Different from its past event, the annual run competition of Astra Runners this time adds more distance from fun walk of 3k to run of 5k and run of 6k to 10k. This time, 100 runners from 35 communities are also invited.

One of the Board Supervisors of Astra Runners as well as one of the executives of Astra Group Iwan Hadiantoro says that even though the distance increased, the number of participant does not lessen, it even rises from last year’s. “The enthusiasm of Astra people is extraordinary. This is the first year we use official timing system to measure the time of runners precisely. We hope that it will be a motivation to improve the speed in the next event. Astra Runners Community is expected to enhance the productivity of Astra people,” said Iwan Hadiantoro.

Helping Victims of Palu Earthquake

In SATU Indonesia Run, Astra Runners whose tagline is: We Run, We Care, We Share, also raises fund to help the victims of earthquake and tsunami in Palu and surrounding areas. Every participant automatically donates IDR 50,000 of the registration fee to be donated through Nurani Astra Program.

According to the principle, whatever activities done by Astra needs to be beneficial to its surroundings and society. It is in accordance with Astra’s aim to prosper with the nation.
