JAKARTA: Still in the event series of 2019 IdeaFest creative festival with the theme of “Age of Pride” and #KebanggaanIndonesia spirit, Astra holds discussion session of AstraTalk: Inspiring The Nation today (5/10), at Jakarta Convention Center, presenting three creative youngsters sharing inspirational stories.

These three youngsters are the awardees of 2014 Astra’s Unified Spirit for Indonesia Awards (SATU Indonesia Awards) Resika Caesaria (Cimol Queen of Banyumas), awardee of 2015 SATU Indonesia Awards Dani Ferdian (Health Volunteer Pioneer), and awardee of 2018 SATU Indonesia Awards Nodeflux (Artificial Intelligence Technology).

AstraTalk also presents Dian Sastrowardoyo as a guest judge of 2019 10th SATU Indonesia Awards, representative of the judges from Astra Boy Kelana Soebroto and Ernest Prakasa as the host.

Resika Caesaria (Cimol Queen of Banyumas)

Known as a mother of her business partners, Resika is familiarly known as Cika succeeds in empowering the society in poverty in Banyumas by reaching 400 business partners through cimol business (snacks made of tapioca flour). “The business that I am currently working on is meant to be a social business that can provide advantages for the society,” she said. Starting from only 200 partners, now Cika can help the empowerment of 400 partners. “Just imagine if one partner provides for four family members, it means there are 1,600 people whose lives depend on this cimol business.”

Dani Ferdian (Health Volunteer Pioneer)

As a lecturer, Dani Ferdian unites students of Medical School from various provinces in Indonesia to start a movement of health volunteer, one of which is in collaboration with Astra Green Village through the Volunteer Doctors program initiated since Dani was in his grade II in Padjajaran University.

“We also collaborate to accompany 16 Astra Green Villages in making and applying a system based on society empowerment to overcome basic health problems in Indonesia such as stunting, mother and child health, etc.”

Nodeflux (Artificial Intelligence Technology)

Created by Co-Founder CEO Meidy Fitranto and Chief Technology Officer Faris Rahman, Nodeflux wishes to encourage the development of artificial intelligence in Indonesia. “Our passion in technology gives us a mission to implement the latest technology advancement for solving problems in Indonesia,” said Meidy Fitranto. “Not only focusing on the present matters, we want to try contributing further to make our country proud,” said Faris Rahman.

Nodeflux becomes one of the companies in Indonesia succeeding in reaching the 25th rank out of 90 companies in the world for programming algorithm assessment in Face Recognition Vendor Test on September 2019 from National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Today’s AstraTalk discussion is a continued session of 2019 10th SATU Indonesia Awards awarding night resulting in six awardees on Friday (4/10) night.

The six awardees of 2019 10th SATU Indonesia Awards appreciation are Mohammad Afif “The Sanitary Messenger in Islamic Boarding School” (Health – Jambi), Ai Nurhidayat “The Guardian of Multicultural Tolerance” (Education – Pangandaran), Maya Stolastika Bolen “Millennial Organic Farmer from Flores” (Environment – Mojokerto), Nurman Farieka R. “Embroider of Chicken Feet Skin Shoes” (Entrepreneurship – Bandung), Hendro Yulius Suryo “Young Generation Educators Through Robotic” (Technology – Surabaya), and from the group field there is Pedis Care “The Wound Caregiver Sorrow Reliever” (Health – Malang).

They receive coaching funding of IDR 60 million and activity coaching which can be collaborated with Astra sustainable social contribution such as Astra Green Village and Astra Prosperous Village.

Besides the six awardees of SATU Indonesia Awards appreciation on the national level, 54 awardees on provincial level are also chosen, therefore until this year awardees of SATU Indonesia Awards pn nationao and provincial level reach a total of 59 and 246 people respectively.

Astra’s spirit in supporting 2019 IdeaFest is in line with Astra’s aim to prosper with the nation.
