Astra Targets Inspirational Youth for the 12th SATU Indonesia Awards

JAKARTA: It has been 365 days since COVID-19 was declared as a pandemic in Indonesia. The pandemic has affected all aspects of humans’ lives, especially for the young generation.

The International Labor Organization reported that the youth is the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, all while Indonesia was on the cusp of the demographic dividend in 2020 that is estimated to last until 2045. This is a period where the number of Indonesia’s productive-age citizens is increasing and becomes a social capital for accelerating growth in Indonesia.

In light of the above and considering the importance of youth for the country’s future, Astra, through Semangat Astra Terpadu Untuk (SATU) Indonesia Awards, has consistently focused on targeting young people since 2010.

Through the 12th SATU Indonesia Awards 2021, Astra encourages Indonesia’s youth to move forward together and become inspiration in the efforts of advancing the nation. It is a call for Indonesian people and all Astra’s employees to survive and continue the endeavor to achieve the shared aspirations and hopes together. It is in line with the 64 years of Astra’s works and inspirations for the society to achieve its mission ‘to prosper with the nation’.

“We can’t face this pandemic alone. With the Spirit of Advancing Together, we and the youth will survive and advance together to help this country and combat the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Astra’s Chief of Corporate Affairs, Riza Deliansyah, today (2/3).

The 12th SATU Indonesia Awards 2021 kick-off held virtually today (2/3) is Astra’s commitment to supporting the young generation to contribute to their communities.

Astra presents the awards to young people who make contributions to their communities in the field of Health, Education, Environment, Entrepreneurship, and Technology. There is also an award for the group category that represents the five fields. Continuing last year’s initiative, Astra will again present a special award for the selfless heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
