Astra Supports Development of 100 BUMDes in 100 Villages in West Java
Today (15/5) Astra together with the Community and Village Empowerment Service of West Java and representatives from Village-Owned Business Entity (Badan Usaha Milik Desa/BUMDes) in West Java sign a cooperation agreement to support the program of West Java provincial government, One Village One Company (OVOC).
This agreement is a manifestation of Astra’s commitment to support the development of 100 BUMDes in 100 Villages in West Java. It is expected that this program can participate in fostering Astra Green Village (Kampung Berseri Astra) towards the Gate of Champion Village (Gerbang Desa Juara).
The signing ceremony is done by the Deputy Chief of Corporate Affairs Astra Riza Deliansyah and the Head of Community and Village Empowerment Service of West Java Dedi Supandi as well as representatives from Village-Owned Business Entity of Banjaran Village, Majalengka Regency, witnessed by the Vice Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum.
Along with the agreement signing, on this day also launched the Champion Village Aspiration Car (Mobil Aspirasi Kampung Juara/Maskara) from Isuzu Astra. The multifunctional cars will be given to 120 villages in West Java this year.
As of now, Astra is fostering 370 Astra Prosperous Villages (Desa Sejahtera Astra) and 81 Astra Green Villages in 34 provinces all over Indonesia. Astra Prosperous Village focuses on empowering entrepreneurship at the village level in accordance with the local potential, while Astra Green Village focuses on four pillars of Astra’s sustainable social contribution, which are Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Environment.
Astra’s support to the development of 100 BUMDes is in line with Astra’s aim to prosper with the nation.
