Astra Receives Three Awards from Asiamoney

SINGAPORE: PT Astra International Tbk receives three award categories from Asiamoney 2019 Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll today (25/9). Those three award categories are Most Outstanding Company in Indonesia for the Decade 1990-1999, Overall Most Outstanding Company in Indonesia, and Most Outstanding Company in Indonesia - Automobiles & Components Sector.

Astra represents companies from Indonesia along with other 11 global companies from 11 countries in Asia for the Overall Most Outstanding Company category.

The award is a polling result done by 824 investment managers, buy-side analysts, bankers, and rating companies held on July 12th. After voting, there are more than 4,004 votes participating in selecting the public company from 12 stock exchanges in Asia. The result is that 153 companies are set to receive awards in their respective sectors and stock exchanges.

Asiamoney Award of 2019 Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll aims to identify and acknowledge well-known companies in Asia. The respondents come from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Tiongkok, and Vietnam.

Performance

Up to June 2019, Astra Group’s consolidated net revenue grows 3% to IDR 116.2 T, which is mainly caused by the increase of revenue from heavy equipment, mining, construction, and energy division as well as financial services.

Astra Group’s net profit reaches IDR 9.8 T, decreasing 6% compared to the last same period in 2018. The Group’s value of net asset per share is recorded of IDR 3,444 on June 30th, 2019, 2% higher than the position at the end of 2018.
