
JAKARTA: In celebration of Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day, Astra called the nation to stand for Indonesia and show love for the country through a series of activities hash-tagged #SemangatMajukanIndonesia (Advancing Indonesia) held on SATU Indonesia’s social media platforms.
Under this campaign, traditional games that make an Independence Day celebration festive are held virtually by Astra. Other than that, Astra has engaged nine public figures, Astra YouTubers, virtual music concert (Konser Musik Kebangsaan), and will also organize a flag-raising ceremony.
“Whatever the situation is, Astra understands that an Independence Day celebration is always an exciting moment. As a company that pursues sustainable social contribution, Astra wishes to make this moment just as exciting by inviting everyone to grow their love for Indonesia, so that we can in turn grow as a nation,” said Chief of Corporate Affairs Astra Riza Deliansyah.
The games started today (4/8) on SATU Indonesia YouTube account. To appreciate participants, there is a giveaway with a total value of Rp17 million for 17 lucky viewers whose names are drawn every week.
Tarra Budiman acts as the host of the games with eight teams led by Aurelie Moeremans, Enzy Storia, Jerome Polin, Kevin Hendrawan, Prilly Latuconsina, Raffi Ahmad, Rizky Febian, and Surya Insomnia with Astra YouTubers as team members.
The players are competing for a cash prize of Rp45 million that will be donated to pandemic-affected communities through Nurani Astra.
Konser Musik Kebangsaan
As part of the #SemangatMajukanIndonesia Astra and Erwin Gutawa Orchestra presents a virtual concert with 50 musicians and Indonesia’s best singers Ruth Sahanaya, Lea Simanjuntak and Gabriel Harvianto featuring Erwin Gutawa Music School Choir. Catch the concert on SATU Indonesia YouTube account on August 16, 2020 at 7.30 PM, Western Indonesia Time.
The virtual concert precedes the flag-raising ceremony on August 17, 2020, to be held with select participants on site and strict health protocols as recommended by the government. Astra employees can follow the ceremony virtually from home.
