2,617 Astra Employees Attend The Peak Event of Astra Gema Islami Towards Professional Moslem

JAKARTA: It is time for the peak event of Astra Gema Islami (AGI). AGI, entering its 9 th year, is a series of events related to Ramadan in Astra in creating Astra's professional moslem.

The peak event, that is supported by Yayasan Amaliah Astra (YAA) and 71 Astra Group subsidiaries, is attended by 2,617 employees of Astra Group from various areas in Indonesia, such as Medan, Balikpapan, Tasikmalaya, and Jabodetabek on July 12 th -13 th , 2019.

The event is opened by President Director of PT Astra International Tbk Prijono Sugiarto accompanied by Chief of Corporate Affairs Astra Pongki Pamungkas and Head of YAA Riza Deliansyah. Also attending this event are Chairman of YAA as well as Director of Astra Gita Tiffany Boer and other executives of Astra.

10 Competitions 30 Medals This year, there are 10 competitions involving 30 medals joined by Astra employees.

The total prize for the participants of AGI this year is IDR 200 million including a door prize of Umrah trip for two people.

Astra employees' children can also participate in AGI by joining the kid zone and children tahfidz competition.

There are also several competitions held online such as Astra Ramadan News Competition (Lomba Kabar Ramadan Astra), Short Stories Competition (Lomba Cerpen), and Lebaran Greetings Video Competition (Lomba Salam Lebaran).

For offline group competitions there are Astra Islamic Quiz Competition (Lomba Cerdas Cermat Islami Astra), Adult Tahfidz Competition (Lomba Tahfidz Dewasa), Murottal Qur'an Competition, and Friendship and Goat Futsal Cup Competition (Silahturahim dan Futsal Kaming Cup).

AGI is closed with Astra Berqurban celebrating feast of Iduladha .

Until March 2019, Astra has 229 subsidiaries with 224,488 employees. There are 9 institutions supervised by Astra Group including YAA, which works in education, social, and religion field.
