










JAKARTA: Astra once again participated in the Joint Tree-Planting in DKI Jakarta’s Green Open Spaces (RTH) Activities on Wednesday morning (11/29) in the Pulo Gadung Industrial Estate Urban Forest, East Jakarta. A symbolic tree-planting ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The president was accompanied by ad interim Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Environment and Forestry Andi Amran Sulaiman, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Acting DKI Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono, and Astra Head of Security Muslich. This event is
part of the joint tree-planting initiative between Astra, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the Jakarta Government.
“My appreciation to both the central and provincial government, as well as the companies and community members involved in this tree-planting activity. I encourage everyone to plant trees in your local areas,” said President Joko Widodo.
“Our participation is a tangible demonstration of Astra’s commitment to positively impacting the environment and supporting the government’s efforts to make the joint tree-planting initiative carried out simultaneously in various areas a success for the present and future of Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.
So far, Astra has participated in planting trees in three locations: the Pulo Gadung Industrial Estate Urban Forest in East Jakarta, Nagrak Apartment in North Jakarta, and Casamora Garden in South Jakarta. A total of 500 trees have been donated by Astra, including blackboard trees, crepe myrtle, flamboyant trees, sawo kecik, and Spathodea.
Astra’s dedication to creating a positive environmental impact for Indonesia’s present and future is in line with Astra’s mission to Prosper with the Nation while supporting Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
