Kendari: Astra hosted another Inspirational Talk event in the spirit of spreading inspiration for the 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 today, May 18, at the Fortune Hotel & Convention in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi.

The second Inspirational Talk of this year was attended by the Head of the Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Office (DPMPTSP) of Kendari City Maman Firman Syah, as well as speakers Ir. Tri Mumpuni (People-Centered Business and Economic Institute Founder and the 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 Judge) and Jamaluddin (SATU Indonesia Awards Recipient in 2017 in the Education Category)

The 15th SATU Indonesia Awards 2024 Inspirational Talk is part of the SATU Indonesia Awards awareness program. The program aims to find Indonesia’s youth with sustainable social contributions that positively impact their surrounding communities in the fields of Health, Education, Environment, Entrepreneurship, and Technology.

“SATU Indonesia Awards program is a form of appreciation from Astra for the young generation who are actively driving positive changes in their surrounding communities. The theme for the fifteenth year of implementation is ‘Together, Create, Sustainable’. We hope to find Indonesia’s young people who are capable of bringing about change through real contributions for a better today and future of Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.

The story of Jamaluddin, who comes from Kanreapia Village, Gowa, South Sulawesi, sparked enthusiasm among the participants to actively participate and interact in the inspirational talk.

“My journey began as a farmer’s child who dropped out of school. However, honing my creativity and relentless work spirit, I came up with an innovative idea to transform the family’s cowshed into ‘Rumah Koran’, a center for inspiration, literacy, and organization for farmers. This move led me to receive the SATU Indonesia Awards in 2017 in the Education category,” said Jamaluddin while sharing his inspirational story as the Enlightener of Farmer’s Children from Gowa.

After receiving the SATU Indonesia Awards 2017, Jamaluddin had the opportunity to collaborate in the Kampung Berseri Astra program. Currently, Jamaluddin is also a leading figure in Kampung Berseri Astra Kanreapia. Thanks to his efforts, his hometown is now known as an educational tourism destination that attracts tourists from various cities.

To support and appreciate the contribution of the nation’s youth to their surrounding community and environment, each recipient of the SATU Indonesia Awards will receive an activity grant of Rp65 million and assistance. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate in Kampung Berseri Astra or Desa Sejahtera Astra programs.
