Astra’s Commitment to Realizing the Future of Mobility in Indonesia

JAKARTA: To accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable company, Astra isconsistently implementing a range of sustainability programs across its seven businesssectors, which include Automotive; Financial Services; Heavy Equipment, Mining,Construction & Energy; Agribusiness; Infrastructure and Logistics; Information Technology;and Property. These initiatives are designed to address the needs of both current and futuregenerations, in alignment with Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations.

In the automotive sector, Astra is playing an active role in reducing carbon emissions byaccelerating the development of the electrification ecosystem. Currently, Astra offers 3 BatteryElectric Vehicle (BEV) models, 3 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models, and 16Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) models under the Toyota and Lexus brands. Additionally, Astra,under the BMW brand, offers 5 BEV models and 1 PHEV model. For two-wheelers, AstraHonda Motor has introduced two BEV motorcycle models, the EM1 e: and EM1 e: PLUS.

“Astra’s automotive sector is continually advancing towards ‘The Future of Mobility’, meeting diverse mobility needs and demands while transitioning to a low-carbon economy through comprehensive contributions to accelerate electrification in the automotive industry,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.

Astra is also supporting the transition towards electrification in the automotive industry by offering electric products tailored to the needs of Indonesian consumers and by developing a robust electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.

As part of the efforts to develop the electric vehicle ecosystem, Astra, through Astra Otoparts, launched Astra Otopower, a network of electric vehicle charging stations. Currently, there are 37 Astra Otopower public charging units across 32 locations in Java, including office buildings, shopping centers, residences, and toll road rest areas.

Astra’s commitment to developing electric vehicles and sustainable mobility solutions is expected to generate positive outcomes for both society and the environment for today and the future of Indonesia. This commitment is in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation while supporting Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
