JAKARTA: In support of Indonesia’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision on the global stage, Astra has partnered with the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of PPN/Bappenas) to take part in and contribute to Indonesia’s participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka.
The collaboration was formalized through a cooperation agreement, demonstrating Astra’s dedication to contributing to the World Expo. The event, themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, will take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025.
The agreement was signed today (February 13) at the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas by the Secretary of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Chief Secretary of the National Development Planning Agency Teni Widuriyanti and Astra Head of Corporate Communications Boy Kelana Soebroto. The signing was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of National Development Planning/Deputy Head of Bappenas Febrian Alphyanto Ruddyard and Astra Director Gita Tiffani Boer.
“The World Expo provides a platform for international collaborations, facilitating the exchange of innovative and sustainable solutions, enhancing global partnerships, and strengthening diplomatic cooperation. This initiative is propelled by the commitment of various parties such as Astra to supporting Indonesia’s participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka,” stated the Minister of PPN/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy.
“In alignment with the World Expo 2025 Osaka theme, which aims to foster innovation and global cooperation for a sustainable future society, Astra hopes that this strategic collaboration will further strengthen Indonesia’s global standing and open broader avenues for cooperation in achieving sustainable development for today and the future of Indonesia,” remarked Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.
Astra’s support for the Indonesia Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 Osaka aligns with the pavilion’s objective of showcasing Indonesia’s strong national identity, encompassing its natural wealth, cultural and ethnic diversity, and noble values. Under the theme “Thriving The Harmony Nature, Culture, Future”, the Indonesia Pavilion promises to deliver a visually captivating and engaging experience for international visitors.
Astra’s enduring commitment to the quinquennial World Expo dates back to its participation in Shanghai in 2010, followed by Milan in 2015 and Dubai in 2021.
