JAKARTA: Astra reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development by participating in the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2025, held on October 10–11, 2025. The forum is a cross-sector collaboration platform initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry of the Republic of Indonesia/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), aimed at strengthening partnerships to realize a sustainable and globally competitive economy.
Present at the ISF 2025 opening were Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Affairs Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, KADIN Indonesia Chairman Anindya Bakrie, and Astra Group executives.
“Astra believes sustainability can only be achieved through close collaboration between government, business, and society. By participating in the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2025, Astra intends to remain actively involved in strengthening the national sustainability ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and the development of high-quality and competitive human resources,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.
ISF 2025 focuses on six strategic issues: food security and sustainable agriculture; access to clean water and water security; nature-based solutions (land & sea resources); renewable energy and low-carbon power systems; green mobility (low-emission transportation); and sustainable mineral downstreaming, bioenergy, innovation, and human resource development. At the forum, Astra shared experiences and best practices in developing sustainable business models that support emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and climate resilience across sectors.
Presenting at the forum was Djap Tet Fa, President Director of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, who discussed the importance of cross-sector collaboration in strengthening national food security and implementing sustainable agribusiness practices. This aligns with Astra Agro’s role in applying innovation and efficiency to create a more environmentally friendly and highly competitive agribusiness system. Djap Tet Fa emphasized that collaboration across the entire value chain—from farmers and industry players to government—is the key to building inclusive sustainability and food security.
Astra’s support for ISF 2025 was also demonstrated through an interactive booth showcasing a range of sustainable initiatives and products from the Astra Group. The booth was designed as an educational and collaborative space to introduce Astra’s green practices and innovations to the public.
Through an interactive LED display, Astra presented its sustainability journey, encompassing energy transition, strengthening the circular economy, and collaboration toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In the exhibition area, Astra showcased a preview of a high-technology electric vehicle with local content, the Toyota New bZ4X; a prototype public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU) from Astra Otoparts under the Astra Otopower brand to support a low-emission mobility ecosystem in Indonesia; and solar panels from PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN) representing the application of renewable energy in industrial settings.
Astra’s participation in the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2025 to advance sustainable development and a green economy aligns with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation and supports Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals.
