BSD, TANGERANG: Astra-supported MSMEs recorded a transaction value of Rp70.79 billion (equivalent to US$4.29 million) and signed eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025, held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, from October 15 to 19, 2025.
This achievement is the result of the participation of 23 MSMEs supported by Astra through its Desa Sejahtera Astra program and the Astra Foundation – Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation. The initiative aims to expand export networks and introduce signature local products to international markets. Prior to participating in the exhibition, all supported MSMEs underwent intensive export training from May to October 2025 to strengthen their production capabilities, quality standards, and international marketing strategies.
Astra-supported MSMEs occupied booths in Hall 3A at ICE BSD, representing three main categories of Indonesia’s flagship products: processed food and beverages, agricultural commodities, and fashion and home décor crafts. Nine MSMEs showcased processed food and beverage products such as fried shallots, crispy mushrooms, cocoa-based products, honey, and seaweed chips. Six other MSMEs presented agricultural commodities including coconut sugar, spices, coffee, essential oils, and cinnamon. Meanwhile, eight MSMEs displayed a variety of crafts like woven fabrics, wooden kitchenware, and ceramic products made with natural fibers. These products attracted the interest of potential buyers from various countries, with export destinations including Australia, Japan, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Canada, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, and the United States.
Throughout the exhibition, Astra-supported MSMEs participated in multiple business matching sessions with prospective buyers from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, generating an additional potential transaction value of Rp48.62 billion (US$2.95 million).
“This achievement proves that Indonesian products have global competitiveness and significant potential to break into international markets. Astra is committed to continuously supporting MSMEs to improve product quality, strengthen business management, and understand the needs of the global market. Collaboration between the government, businesses, and society is key for Indonesian MSMEs to level up and contribute meaningfully to national economic growth,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.
In addition to participation in the main exhibition, 25 MSMEs from the Astra Foundation also took part in Export Strategy training, a collaboration between the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the Indonesia Export Training Center (IETC) of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, to prepare for their participation in next year’s TEI.
Astra’s participation in TEI 2025 is part of the company’s commitment to support national economic growth through the development of MSMEs and the enhancement of local product exports, in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation and contribute to achieving Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
