PRAMUKA ISLAND: As a tangible form of Astra People’s participation in the Gelora Insan Astra activities held from June to August, Astra today (August 27) delivered donations consisting of 1,000 mangrove seedlings, cleaning supplies, and healthcare equipment for children and residents of Kampung Berseri Astra Pulau Pramuka, Thousand Islands. These donations were generated through the conversion of active points collected during the Healthy Life Challenge, a Gelora Insan Astra event, part of the Astra Festival 2025.
“This concrete step is expected to provide lasting benefits for public health and environmental sustainability, while strengthening the spirit of togetherness toward a healthier and greener Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.
Kampung Berseri Astra Pulau Pramuka is one of the donation recipients from the Healthy Life Challenge, which involved over 19,000 Astra Group employees participating in Go Walking, Go Running, and Go Cycling activities. These efforts accumulated a total of 742,370.29 active points, which were converted into donations. Each active point was multiplied by Rp500, resulting in a total donation value of Rp371 million. The funds will be distributed to various Kampung Berseri Astra locations across Indonesia in the form of supplementary food and healthcare equipment.
This donation to Kampung Berseri Astra Pulau Pramuka is part of the Clean Tourism Movement in the village—a collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Astra through the Astra Colleague Volunteering Program (ACVP). More than 85 Astra volunteers from various Astra Group companies and the Astra Women Community (Komunitas Perempuan Astra), along with over 200 community volunteers, participated in activities ranging from distributing healthcare equipment, cleaning up the beach, to planting 1,000 mangrove seedlings and coral seeds.
The event was attended by Fadjar Hutomo, Expert Staff to the Minister for Crisis Management at the Ministry of Tourism; Muhammad Aceng Zaeni, Deputy Regent of Thousand Islands, Jakarta Special Region; Aloysius Budi Santoso, Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development at Astra; and Diah Suran Febrianti, Head of Environment, Social & Responsibility at Astra.
Astra’s commitment to sustainable contribution—focusing on improving children's quality of life, public health, and environmental preservation—aligns with its mission to Prosper with the Nation and supports the achievement of Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
