JAKARTA: In appreciation of Astra Group employees who successfully completed the healthy lifestyle challenges through the Astra On The Go 2024 program, Astra held the Astra On The Go 2024 award ceremony themed “Every Day Stronger, Consistency Counts” at William Soeryadjaya Hall, AMDI A Building, Jakarta, on Thursday, October 10.

Astra On The Go 2024 is a virtual challenge and competition that integrates healthy living with significant social contributions. The initiative ran from July 1 to August 31, 2024, engaging Astra employees in this program.

Designed to support and encourage a healthy lifestyle, the program aimed at improving physical health by inviting all Astra Group employees to participate. Astra On The Go featured two main categories: the Challenge, which included Go Walking, and the Competition, which involved Go Running and Go Cycling, all conducted virtually.

“Astra values the participation of Astra employees who have supported and promoted a healthy lifestyle through Astra On The Go 2024, while also showing care for others. This event serves as a tangible example of how an initiative can inspire, contribute, and create positive change in communities. Every kilometer completed by Astra employees in this virtual challenge is directly converted into donations for stunting prevention in Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Human Capital Development Aloysius Budi Santoso.

The Astra On The Go 2024 award ceremony was attended by Astra Group executives and featured a talk show with sports enthusiast and MC Melanie Putria, discussing healthy lifestyles. The session was viewed both in-person and online via the SATU Indonesia YouTube Channel.

By the end of the Astra On The Go 2024 program in August, Astra employees had completed a total of 866,676.83 kilometers, tracked using a fitness app that monitored their progress. Each kilometer was converted into donations for the supplementary feeding program (PMT) to help address stunting in five regions of Indonesia: Banyumas, Gorontalo, Mataram, Purwakarta, and Rote. Thanks to the participants’ enthusiasm, Astra On The Go 2024 raised Rp723,124,040 in donations from a total of 16,795 participants.

The commitment of Astra employees to fostering a healthy lifestyle while contributing to positive social change is in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation while supporting Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
