“We hope Astra Half Marathon 2024 can inspire the wider community to embrace a healthy lifestyle and environmental preservation, creating a lasting positive impact for today and a better future for Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.
Scheduled for November 10, 2024, at the Astra Biz Center in BSD Tangerang, the Astra Half Marathon 2024 coincides with Heroes’ Day. The event, targeting 5,000 participants, is not only a race for runners but also a tribute to the spirit of struggle and sacrifice of national heroes, fostering a sense of unity among Indonesians.
Under the Astra Runners tagline, “We Run, We Care, We Share”, participants are encouraged to be environmentally conscious by reusing single-use items, reducing plastic waste, and recycling old products into something new and useful.
Participants also donate through their registration fees. The funds collected will be used to conduct workshops on transforming plastic waste into useful products through micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (YDBA).
