Astra Half Marathon 2025 “Together in Motion” Draws Thousands of Runners, Promoting a Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyle

TANGERANG, BANTEN: The enthusiastic steps of runners formed a wave of energy at the Astra Biz Center BSD, Tangerang, during the Astra Half Marathon 2025 on Sunday, November 30. This year, over 5,000 participants took part in the three main categories: 5K, 10K, and the Half Marathon.

Carrying the theme “Together in Motion,” the event fostered a spirit of collaboration, encouraging participants to keep moving together and create a sustainable impact in their daily lives and on the running track. This momentum also coincided with the 12th anniversary of Astra Runners, which continues to cultivate togetherness and environmental awareness through running activities.

​“The Astra Half Marathon demonstrates that movement undertaken together can carry greater significance. From the running track, we learn that health, togetherness, and environmental awareness are a series of interconnected elements, and they are part of the journey we wish to build with the public for a more sustainable life for today and the future of Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.

Through the “We Run, We Care, We Share” campaign, a portion of the Astra Half Marathon 2025 ticket sales will be donated to assist communities affected by disasters in Sumatra, an embodiment of the contribution from Astra and the participants. Furthermore, in an effort toward sustainable waste management, the Astra Half Marathon 2025 collaborated with Rekosistem through an integrated sorting and processing system, directly contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint.

The Astra Half Marathon 2025 event was joined by a lineup of national athletes, including Agus Prayogo, and public figures such as Kelly Tandiono, Tarra Budiman, Ibnu Jamil, Ririn Ekawati, and Marianne Rumantir. The closing ceremony culminated in a vibrant performance by the band HIVI!, which further amplified the participants’ energy and enthusiasm.

Total Prizes of Rp200 Million

Runners who successfully crossed the finish line and met the cut-off time were eligible for attractive prizes, ranging from sports equipment to the grand prizes worth a total of Rp200 million, along with various consolation prizes like smartphones, smartwatches, and one unit of the Honda ICON e motorcycle.

The Astra Half Marathon 2025 ensured the comfort and spirit of participants by providing comprehensive facilities, including 12 Ambulances on the route and at Race Central, 7 Mobile Medics, 8 Hydration Points, 2 Fruit Stations, 2 Sponging Stations, and 9 Cheering Areas.

​On the running track, participants received comprehensive protection from Astra Life as the Official Life Insurance Partner, which included hospital compensation of up to Rp2.5 million for sports injuries (muscle injuries, dehydration, heat stroke), as well as Rp25 million in life insurance compensation for all participants. Health support was also bolstered by Asuransi Astra, Hermina Hospital, Heartology Cardiovascular Hospital, and Halodoc as Official Medical Partners. Halodoc also provided health screenings to all participants to ensure their physical readiness to run.

Since its formation on November 9, 2013, Astra Runners has grown into a solid running community within the Astra Group. Starting as a group of young employees with a shared interest in running, the community now actively holds routine monthly training sessions and organizes an annual running event, which has become an important agenda for its members. For more than a decade, Astra Runners has amassed over 2,000 members spread across various Astra Group companies, continually serving as a platform to promote a healthy and collaborative lifestyle.
