JAKARTA: Astra, through its Nurani Astra initiative, continues to strengthen its humanitarian efforts by distributing aid to those affected by flash floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. As of late December 2025, Astra and its Group companies have delivered over 35,500 packages containing essential items and emergency supplies to meet the basic needs of residents across these three provinces.

Beyond logistics, Astra Group companies have established 19 disaster relief hubs, which serve as centers for aid distribution and field coordination points, providing emergency internet access to streamline disaster relief efforts. Several hubs also function as temporary shelters for survivors from impacted villages.

“Since the onset, Nurani Astra has been actively supporting disaster management in the affected regions. Our efforts extend beyond the emergency response phase; our primary focus remains on ensuring that aid accelerates the recovery process for the community. In collaboration with all Astra Group entities and various agencies, we are committed to adapting our support to meet evolving needs on the ground. We encourage everyone to stand in solidarity with those affected. Through our collective efforts and prayers, we hope the lives of our fellow citizens can recover swiftly and steadily improve,” stated Astra President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro.

Over 100 Astra Group employees are volunteering on the ground to assist with evacuations, registration, logistics distribution, and community support.

Other operational and social supports have also been provided by various Astra Group companies. United Tractors has deployed 40 units of heavy machinery to clear landslide debris, reopen road access, and support the evacuation process in the affected areas.

AUTO2000, Astra Daihatsu, and Astra Isuzu are providing vehicle inspections in 15 locations for local residents and, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health,  for ambulances supporting hospitals and community health centers. They have repaired and replaced parts for dozens of ambulances to ensure medical services remain operational in the disaster-hit areas. Astra Honda Motor is offering free service for affected residents’ motorcycles and distributing emergency aid to alleviate community suffering through its official network. Toyota Astra Motor is providing essential supply packages and vehicle service assistance.

Additional contributions in the form of food, baby supplies, drinking water, and other basic necessities have been provided by Astra Daihatsu Motor, FIFGROUP, Astra Credit Companies, Toyota Astra Financial Services, Asuransi Astra, Astra Agro Lestari, and the Astra Foundation, among other Astra Group entities.

Astra remains committed to monitoring the situation closely and providing needed support in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, and will continue to collaborate with humanitarian agencies and government institutions to ensure that aid is distributed effectively to those who need it most.
