JAKARTA: In the pursuit of a better future, Astra supports the acceleration of Indonesia’s decarbonization by participating in the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024, in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko Marves RI). Astra has undertaken various initiatives to achieve the goal of a 30% reduction in scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 2023, as outlined in the Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations.

The ISF 2024 opening ceremony, held today, September 5, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), was attended by President Joko Widodo, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, as well as Directors and Executives from the Astra Group.

“Astra’s participation in ISF 2024 is a significant step in supporting the Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspirations, which reflect our commitment to contributing to the transition towards a greener future. Through this forum, we hope to strengthen collaboration with policymakers, experts, and investors from around the world to create real change for sustainability in Indonesia and beyond,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Riza Deliansyah.

ISF 2024 focuses on five key pillars: the Green Economy, Energy Transition, Biodiversity and Nature Conservation, Sustainable Living, and the Blue Economy. Astra’s support for ISF 2024 also includes participation in the exhibition, where the Astra Group showcases innovative and environmentally friendly products. This exhibition aims to be a platform for sharing knowledge and experience on sustainable practices and fostering collaboration to build a better future.

The products showcased include Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and solar panels. These eco-friendly solutions align with Astra’s initiatives to support the transition to sustainable energy and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.

A total of 37 charging units are now available to the public across 32 locations in Java, including office buildings, shopping centers, residential complexes, toll road rest areas, and more.

Astra’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions are also demonstrated through comprehensivecontributions to accelerating the development of the electrification ecosystem in theautomotive sector.
