TAF Strengthens Employee Driving Safety Awareness Through Comprehensive Training

To implement the Safety Golden Rules, PT Toyota Astra Financial Services (TAF) conducted a safety training program titled "Aman Berkendara, Jaga Keselamatan Bersama: Safety, Defensive, and Eco Riding". Held on May 7, 2026, at the TAF Head Office in Jakarta, the event was also broadcast online to ensure participation from employees at all TAF branches.

TAF Management Reinforces Safety as a Top Priority

Ezar Kumendong, Operations Director and Director in Charge of Environment and Social Responsibility at TAF, opened the event. He emphasized the importance of consistently prioritizing safety at work, especially for employees who regularly ride motorcycles as part of their duties.

His remarks reinforced TAF management's commitment to making employee safety a top priority in company operations.

Hazard Anticipation Education and Vehicle Roadworthiness Checks

The training featured Ito Sadjugo, Chairman of the Asuransi Astra Bikers Community and a certified motorcycle safety trainer in Indonesia Ayo Aman Berlalu Lintas, as keynote speaker. He discussed how to anticipate potential road hazards that riders may overlook.

Ito used visual aids to help participants identify key indicators of motorcycle roadworthiness, enabling owners to recognize when parts should be replaced to prevent accidents.

This hands-on approach aligns with the Astra Group's Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) principles, which emphasize proactive accident prevention by identifying at-risk behaviors and providing direct feedback for improvement.

The hybrid training format enabled TAF to provide driving safety education to all employees, regardless of location. This demonstrates TAF's commitment to maintaining consistent safety awareness across the entire organization.
