Requirements for the Lomba Foto Astra and Anugerah Pewarta Astra 2025

1. Lomba Foto Astra 2025

The requirements and conditions for this photography competition include:

1. Participants who have won first, second, or third place in either journalist or general categories for two consecutive years cannot be nominated again for those positions, but they may still participate.

2. Participants must be Indonesian citizens (WNI).

3. For the journalist category, participants must be Indonesian journalists working for local or national media, foreign news agencies, or freelance journalists working for print or electronic media across Indonesia. Participants must include the media organization they work for and submit a valid press card.

4. Submitted photos must be original works and not generated or significantly modified using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Midjourney, DALL·E, or similar applications.

5. Photos must not have been published in mass media (except social media) and must not have previously won any photography competition.

6. Photos must have been taken between 2021–2025, as indicated in the EXIF metadata.

7. Competition period: June 18 – November 18, 2025.

8. Photos must comply with social norms and must not contain elements of violence, politics, pornography, insults, or discrimination related to ethnicity, religion, race, or groups (SARA).

9. Participants are fully responsible for the photos submitted, including the use of models and properties. The Lomba Foto Astra committee is free from any legal claims arising from the submitted works.

10. Photos must be in digital format, taken using a digital camera (DSLR, pocket camera, mirrorless) or smartphone that supports the required format. Scanned negatives, transparencies, or printed photos are not allowed.

11. Collage and montage photos are not permitted. Editing is allowed only for color, contrast, dodging, burning, rotating, and cropping.

12. Winning and nominated photos may be used by Astra for various purposes related to Astra.

13. Photos must be submitted in soft copy format via the Lomba Foto Astra 2025 microsite.

14. Each participant may upload up to 15 photos. The curation process takes up to 3×24 hours, and photos cannot be replaced or deleted after 1×24 hours have passed since the curation stage.

15. Submission deadline: Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 23:59 WIB.

16. Each participant is eligible for only one title of winner.

17. Monthly consolation prize winners remain eligible for the final grand prizes.

18. Monthly consolation prize winners will be announced in the second week of July, August, September, October, and November 2025.

3. Journalist category participants must be journalists working for local or national media or foreign news agencies, or freelance journalists working for print or electronic media across Indonesia. Participants must include their media organization and provide a valid press card.

4. General category participants must have an active blog with at least five published articles or have written at least five articles on public blogging platforms. If they do not have a blog, they must have a social media account with at least ten published articles.

5. Articles must present inspirational stories from SATU Indonesia Awards recipients, Kampung Berseri Astra initiators, or Desa Sejahtera Astra communities, highlighting sustainable initiatives from these programs.

6. Articles may be written in Indonesian or English and must be original works, not translations, adaptations, or summaries.

7. Articles must be written in a feature or in-depth news format.

8. Articles must be published in national or regional print/online media or blogs between June 18 and November 18, 2025.

9. Articles must be first publications.

10. Articles must be balanced, neutral, and cover multiple perspectives.

11. Participants are responsible for the submitted articles, and the committee is not liable for any legal claims from parties related to the article’s content.

12. Articles and administrative documents must be submitted in soft copy format through the Anugerah Pewarta Astra 2025 microsite.
