EV Smart Mobility Project Toyota Reaches Danau Toba

To accelerate the development of national electric vehicle program, PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) is expanding the reach of the EV Smart Mobility Project by promoting the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem on Samosir Island in Lake Toba, North Sumatra, on July 19, 2022.

With this step, Toyota has officially become the initiator to popularize EV ecosystem in not just Samosir, but also Sumatra. The selection of Lake Toba as a site for the Smart Mobility EV is part of an effort to restore the tourism sector. Now, visitors can explore Samosir, an island of 630 square-kilometer, with Toyota’s EV units and be surrounded by the majestic view of Lake Toba.
