Active in Financial Literacy, Asuransi Astra Receives Recognition from OJK

Asuransi Astra actively supports the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) efforts to enhance financial literacy through various programs aimed at creating a well-informed public.

Thanks to its active contributions, Asuransi Astra received the 2024 Financial Literacy Award in the Most Active Insurance Company category. The award was presented by OJK on August 22, 2024, at the Jiexpo Convention Centre and Theatre in Jakarta.

According to the 2022 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion, Indonesia's financial literacy index was 49.68%, while financial inclusion stood at 85.10%. Building on these results, Asuransi Astra actively promotes financial literacy across different community segments, such as students, MSME entrepreneurs, and individuals with disabilities.

Asuransi Astra launched the Integrated Financial Literacy Program (Lentera) in 2023 and the Earth Care Relay (EPB) in 2022, benefiting 14 cities across Indonesia. In March 2023, it also delivered financial education to women and mother-focused communities in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Through its Garda Oto car insurance product, Asuransi Astra introduced financial literacy to children aged 3-10 by organizing the Little Financial Master and Emergency Roadside Assistance Tour.
