Pasar Murah Astra Sentuh 34 Provinsi di Indonesia

Astra holds another Astra Cheap Market (Pasar Murah Astra) to ease the burden of the community in buying basic needs ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1440 H.

Today (25/5), Astra Cheap Market is held at Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School Banyuwangi, East Java, where at the same location there is also Astra Micro Waqf Bank in collaboration with Astra Group and Financial Services Authority (OJK). The Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School Banyuwangi is one of 75 locations all over Indonesia where the Astra Cheap Market is held. Recipients of Astra Cheap Market packages are customers of Micro Waqf Bank and needy communities around the Islamic boarding school.

“This Astra Cheap Market activity has been routinely done since 2017 to ease the burden of the community in buying basic needs. It is in line with Astra’s aim to prosper with the nation,” said Chief of Corporate Affairs Astra Pongki Pamungkas.

The event is attended by Head of Sub Directorate of Business Potential, Directorate of Social, Individual, Family, and Institutional Community Empowerment of the Ministry of Social of Republic of Indonesia Latifah Ningrum, Chairman of Jember OJK Office Azilsyah Nurdin, Lead of Minhajut Thullab Islamic Boarding School K.H Fahrudin Mannan, and Deputy Head of Environment & Social Responsibility Astra Diah Suran.

In addition to the cheap market activity, there is also weekly Halaqah Akbar, Micro Waqf Bank, Khatamil Quran, donations for orphans and needy people, and breakfasting together.

This year, Astra Cheap Market is spread over 65 points in Indonesia during Ramadan and 10 points during year-end. Each point will be provided with 500 packages, so the total packages of this year are 37,500 packages

A package is sold for IDR 50,000 with the value of goods of IDR 100,000 containing basicnecessities, resulting in total distribution of 37,500 packages worth more than IDR 4 billion.
