Daihatsu products are manufactured in PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), majority controlled by Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, which manufactures Daihatsu and Toyota vehicles and components. Meanwhile Daihatsu Sales Operation acts as the sole distributor of Daihatsu brands.

As the base for compact car production, ADM boosted production of Avanza, Xenia, Terios, Rush, Gran Max and Luxio brand vehicles with total production during 2009 was 217,251 units.
